How much do sessions cost?
£70 per 50-minute session.
When are you available?
I currently have regular weekly sessions available on Wednesday evenings and hold a waiting list for other time slots. Get in touch for up-to-date availability.
Where are you based?
I offer in-person sessions in East Central London, EC1V. The venue is conveniently located within walking distance of Old Street, Angel, Barbican and Farringdon. It is easily accessible via the Northern line, Elizabeth line, Central, Hammersmith & City lines and bus routes.
Please note, the therapy room is on the third floor of the building and there is no lift, so the venue is unfortunately not accessible if you require step-free access.
What happens during an intro call?
A free, 15-minute intro call helps me understand what your current circumstances are and what you’re hoping to gain from therapy sessions, so I can make sure that I am a suitable therapist for you. It is also a chance for you to ask any questions you have and see if you would like to work with me.
Following the intro call, I will hold a slot at an agreed day and time slot for 72 hours to allow you time to decide if you would like to go ahead. Your slot is not secured until you have made payment for your first therapy session. If you do not make payment within 72 hours of the intro call, the slot will become available to new enquiries. For this reason, I recommend having the intro call shortly before you intend to begin therapy.
Do you offer therapy for couples, families or groups?
I currently offer individual counselling for adults 18+.
I also offer counselling to couples and groups where all participants are 18+. For example: parent(s) and child(ren), siblings, polycules, co-parents, friends, housemates, however I am not currently accepting new couple/group clients.
How do I make payment?
Session fees must be paid by bank transfer 48 hours in advance via BACS bank transfer. Please use your initials and the session date (e.g. JS 23/06 for John Smith 23rd of June) as the transaction reference.
If the session is not paid 48 hours in advance, the session will be cancelled and your slot will be released.
If you are unable to pay on time for any reason, you must notify me at the earliest opportunity.
What is your cancellation policy?
Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice are non-refundable.
If you provide more than 48 hours’ notice of cancellation and have already paid your fee, you may request a full refund, or transfer the fee to a future session booking.
If you cancel a session with more than 48 hours’ notice, you may request to reschedule within the same week, subject to availability.
How do online sessions work?
Online sessions are hosted on Google Meet. You will receive a calendar invite with a link to join the online meeting when you book.
It is essential that you have a private space to talk where you will not be disturbed for the duration of the session, as well as a stable internet connection. Consider whether you will feel comfortable to speak freely if there is a chance you may be overheard. You may wish to use headphones.
Do I have to attend weekly? What if I can’t commit to the same time each week?
I recommend making a weekly commitment, at least initially, to build a strong therapeutic relationship and build on progress made from week-to-week. Having less frequent therapy often means a lot of the session involves ‘catching up’ on the events in between, which can mean that the time in session is less therapeutically beneficial to you.
If you can’t commit to a regular time each week, it may be possible to book flexibly either week-to-week or in advance in 4-week blocks, where my schedule allows, however I unfortunately can’t guarantee regular availability on this basis. Regular attendance is very important to achieve good outcomes in therapy. If either of us notices that infrequent attendance is affecting your progress in therapy, we can discuss your options.
Do you offer fortnightly sessions?
I offer fortnightly sessions on a case-by-case basis, where my schedule allows.
Fortnightly therapy can be a more manageable commitment in terms of time and cost, however your should be aware that it may take longer to build a therapeutic relationship and for you to feel the effects of therapy. Additionally, any ‘break’ or ‘week off’ by therapist or client will result in one month passing between sessions, so fortnightly sessions may not be suitable in some cases.
What is the difference between counselling, psychotherapy and therapy?
Counselling is generally short-term (6-12 sessions) and focusses on specific issues in your day-to-day life. Psychotherapy is generally longer-term (12+ sessions) and involves deeper exploration of issues beyond your day-to-day life. I use ‘therapy’ as a term to refer to both.
What can I expect therapy sessions to be like?

How long will I need to be in therapy?
My approach focuses on growth, discovery and transformation rather than ‘fixing’ or ‘curing’. For this reason, the way I work is not best-suited to those who are looking for a quick solution to a specific problem. Many clients get what they came for within 8-12 sessions, while others choose to use therapy as a dedicated space for their long-term personal development.
